-more resources and facilities such as lift are needed
-many destruction will be cause if natural disasters strikes

-increases the area for arable land

-more crops could be cultivated

*Soil-less farming

advantages:)
-less land is needed without affecting the supply of food
-maximises existing land use

disadvantages:(
-immensive amount of water is required for the operating of hydroponics farming.
-electricity is needed and thus, indirectly contributes to global warming.

-increase yields in existing farmlands by lengthening the growing season
